Also at RIAT was the very popular BBMF trailer, selling a wide variety of Flight memorabilia. Here Jeanette O'Connell, Norman Pringle and Paul Blackah man the stand in the most cheerful manner possible! Ah, the phantom photographer strikes again...

Please find attached 4 pix taken at RIAT RAF Fairford Glos on 14th July 2007. It was really great to see the BBMF's 50th celebrated at this event and to have the anniversary acknowledged by the Reds with the combined formation. Congratulations again to all at BBMF and may the next 50 years be as successful as the last.

I have a caravan on Bainland caravan park at Woodhall Spa, one of the reasons we go there is to maybe see any of the BBMF fly over the site, this June 10th the Lancaster flew over but I was to late with the camcorder, but a short time later we were delighted to hear the engines of the Dakota and then low over the trees she appeared and I was able to video the event. The photo attached is a grabbed frame from the video, this moment made my week holiday all the better to remember.

First time back to an airshow in a long while - really enjoyed the display at Cosford and great to hear the sound of a Merlin engine close up once again! Attached is a decent shot of PZ865 on the ground which is now acting as my screensaver!

Two pictures, both taken on 27 April at RAF Coningsby at the unveiling ceremony for The
Phantom of the Ruhr. I was there accompanying my father-in-law, James Cassidy DFC, who as a 550 Squadron
navigator was invited to the unveiling. He flew on BQ-B on her last flight, after which the pilot, Willie Caldow, had her grounded as unfit for flying.

On the left, a bombs-eye view. In the hangar before the unveiling of "The Phantom". On the right, PA474 taxing after landing from the fly-past. She paused for the 100 and 550 Squadron veterans to get their photos!

The Lancaster made a flypast at the fieldgrave of two airman which crashed on November 8th 1941 in the village Berkhout, Holland. The crewmembers, Sgt Kehoe, and Sgt Mullenger and the aircraft, a Hampden Mk1, P1206 from 49 Squadron will be raised in September 2007.

It was an very exiting an emotional moment for the people from Berkhout when he flew over the fieldgrave and crash place of the Hampden. It was on Saturday, April 28 2007, and it was a part of remembering Operation Manna when the Lancaster flew over North Holland to Rotterdam.

Ray Brooks was just about to go out when he heard the unmistakable sound of the Lancaster, he had his camera handy so got these two shots. They were taken on the 6th May 2007 at time 13.31 as the Lancaster flew past Whittlesey Cambs on its way from Duxford back to Coningsby. Ray added, "Many thanks to the Mid upper gun turret chap for giving a wave!"
