Lincolnshire Lancaster Association Day
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight have a tradition of holding an open day at the end of the display season for the members of the LLA, an organisation that does a great deal to support the Flight. Below are a number of images from the day, which sadly included the last flights by Group Captain Russ Allchorne, one of the Flight's fighter pilots for the last three years, and Flight Lieutenant Ed Straw, one of the Lancaster pilots for the last six seasons. The weather was unseasonably hot and generally magnificent, adding warmth and sunshine to what was already a terrific occassion. Bravo to all concerned with the organisation of the day, a wonderful opportunity for a close look at the Flight, its people and aircraft.
